Before enabling RAID on your system
Before enabling RAID on your system, please read the following warnings and
reminders:
1 If you plan to enable RAID 0 or Matrix RAID on your system, you
cannot return your system to a non-RAID state without
reformatting your system.
2 If you plan to use a hot-swappable hard disk drive to enable RAID
(via the Acer MediaBay), contact an Acer Customer Service Center
to make sure that you are using a compatible hot-swappable hard
disk drive. Do not remove your hot-swappable hard disk drive
while enabling RAID on your system.
3 If you use a hot-swappable hard disk drive with RAID 0, or a Matrix
RAID configuration that includes RAID 0, do not remove your hot-
swappable hard disk drive at any time or your data will be lost.
4 Enabling RAID on your system is a time-intensive process and it is
important that your computer stay on during the whole process,
or you will be at risk for data loss. Disable your screen saver and
power management options such as auto-shutdown, auto-
hibernate and auto-standby. Plug your system into an AC adapter
before attempting to enable RAID on your system.
