• The data in 10Mbps or 100Mbps domain will be inter-connected by internal
built-in switch in the Master hub consequently.
• All hubs delivering data by the shared-bus always work on half-duplex mode;
that is, data can be sent or received at one time in one direction.
3.2 Interconnection to Hubs and Switches
3.2.1 Connecting to Ethernet Hubs : The factors governing hub
interconnection are:
• The hubs are only connected by uplink port. ALH-608ds will automatically
transmit at 10Mbps network speed when connecting to 10Mbps Ethernet
hubs and 100Mbps network speed if connected to 100Mbps hubs.
• If multiple ALH-608ds are stacked together, users can connect to hubs by
the uplink port in slave hubs. Therefore other hubs can perform another
class-II cascading, as shown in Figure 3-6.
