In the Antex software the bitrate is specified on a per-channel ba-
sis. Therefore, requesting 64 kbits/s and stereo will result in a
128 kbits/s compressed MPEG stream. Supported bitrates (per

Layer II uses a more sophisticated compression algorithm than
Layer I, so it is recommended that Layer II be used wherever pos-
sible.
