OSD Operation
OSD Overview
The on-screen display (OSD) is a menu driven method to handle computer
control and switching operations. All procedures start from the OSD main
screen.
There are two ways to invoke the OSD:
1. Tap the OSD invocation key on the keyboard (see p. 60), or
2. Tap the [Scroll Lock] key twice.
Note: Scroll Lock] is the default OSD hotkey. You can optionally change
the OSD Hotkey to the Ctrl key (see OSD Hotkey, page 26), in which
case you would press [Ctrl] twice. If you choose this method, you
must press the same [Ctrl] key both times.
Logging In
The OSD incorporates a two level (administrator / user) authorization
procedure. Before the OSD main screen comes up, a login dialog box appears
requesting a username and password.
If this is a first time log in, or if the password function has not been set, simply
press [Enter]. The OSD main screen displays in administrator mode. In this
mode, you have administrator privileges, with access to all administrator and
user functions, and can set up operations (including password authorization) as
you like.
If the password function has been set, you must provide a valid username and
password in order to access the OSD.
