You can only play a DVD
movie from a DVD-ROM
drive. When you are
finished watching a movie,
store the DVD in its
protective case.
You can control the actions of
the DVD player (pause,
rewind, etc.) from the CD/
DVD control buttons on the
keyboard.
Refer to Adjusting the Volume
in this chapter to adjust the
volume when playing a DVD.

Playing a DVD-ROM Movie
1. For best performance, close all running programmes before
inserting a DVD movie. Insert the DVD disc into the
DVD-ROM drive. Playback begins automatically.
2. If playback does not begin automatically, click the Start
button on the Windows taskbar.
3. Point to Programmes, and then Compaq DVD Express 1.
(For the WinDVD player 2 [lower picture], point to
Compaq WinDVD.)
4. Choose Compaq DVD Player 1 (select DVD Player if you
have WinDVD 2) and then click the Play
