4. Remove the RAID memory backup battery module (if installed):
a. Disconnect the in-line connector on the battery cable.
b. Pull the battery pack/shield assembly away from the ACMit is secured with
a double-sided adhesive-backed foam tape.
c. If necessary, clean any residue from the adhesive-backed foam tape that
secured the old battery pack to the cooling module. The replacement battery
pack requires a clean, smooth surface.

The system has two power supplies, and can safely operate with only one power sup-
ply working. The following two LEDs on the back of the power supply (see Figure 8-2)
signal the status of the power supply when the supply is connected to the midplane
board:
Green power supply indicator (bottom LED) lights when all DC output voltages
are within normal operating ranges
Amber power supply fault indicator (top LED) lights if a fault is detected in the
power supply
