To troubleshoot the hard-disk drive, perform the following steps:
1. Are both hard-disk drive indicator lights off?

guards for protecting your data before proceeding any further, then perform the
following steps:
a. Verify that the slot is occupied by a hard-disk drive, not a blank. A blank has
no LEDs. If this resolves the problem, end troubleshooting.
b. Verify that the hard-disk drive is seated properly. If this resolves the problem,
end troubleshooting.

troubleshooting.
d. Verify that the I/O modules are functional and connected. If this resolves the
problem, end troubleshooting.
e. Replace the hard-disk drive. If this resolves the problem, end
