If the monitor power indicator is on but no image appears on the display, perform the following checks:
Ensure that the video connector is seated properly. Tighten the connector screws securely with your fingers.
Ensure that the computer is on.
Increase brightness and contrast controls.
Turn off the monitor and unplug the signal cable. Check the cable connector for bent or broken pins.
With the signal cable still disconnected, turn on the monitor. If the monitor is working correctly, a self-test pattern appears.
Perform a monitor reset or recall

If there is no sound from speakers after Windows starts up, perform the following checks:
Ensure that all audio cables are connected properly.
Cable with green plugs: One side to audio base “audio in” (green connector) and other side to PC “audio out” (green
connector).
Cable with red plugs: One side to audio base “Mic out” (red connector) and other side to PC “Mic in” (red connector).
Ensure that the black DC adapter plug is connected to the audio base “Power in” (black connector) , and wall adapter is
plugged into wall outlet.
Reseat all audio cable connections, and ensure that they are fully inserted.
Turn the rotary volume control clockwise, the audio base LED will light green.
Turn up the volume by clicking the yellow speaker icon in the Windows 98 taskbar and adjusting the volume setting. Make sure
that none of the mute boxes below the slider bars are checked. Use an audio CD and start CD player via Start-Programs-Acces-
sories-Entertainment.
