✓ Understanding Definitions
Dictionary entries consist of headwords, parts
of speech, and definitions. Other forms of the
word may follow the headword. After the
translation or definition, you may see a list of
usage examples.
Hearing Words
You can hear words in the Merriam-Webster
Dictionary the same way you can in the
Larousse Spanish-English Dictionary. See
“Hearing Words” on page 34.
One difference is that you can hear entire
definitions in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
Hold FN and press to hear the definition.
Note: If you have a word highlighted, you will
not be able to hear the definition by holding FN
and pressing .
Using the Thesaurus
1. Press THES.
Or you can press MENU, highlight ,
and press ENTER.
2. Type a word (for example, splendid).
