Installing ActiveSync on Desktop/Laptop
ActiveSync (version4.5orhigherforWindows XPdesktop/laptopcomputers)must be
resident onthehost (desktop/laptop)computer. Windows MobileDeviceCenteris
requiredfora Windows Vista/Windows 7desktop/laptopcomputer. ActiveSync and
Windows MobileDeviceCenterforthePCareavailablefrom theMicrosoft website.
Follow Microsoft's instructions tolocate, downloadandinstallActiveSync orWindows
MobileDeviceCenteronyourdesktop/laptop.
ActiveSync using USB-Client Connection
Theonly connectiontypeis USBClient.
1. Connect theHX3endof thecabletotheconnectoronthebottom of theHX3.
2. Connect theUSBtypeAconnectorontheI/O cableto aUSBport onaPCor
laptop.
ActiveSync starts automatically whentheUSBcableis connected.
WhentheHX3loses connection, theconnectiontoActiveSync is lost. Disconnect the
PC endof thecableandre-connect.
