The Port Replicator and Charger provide
cable management, a battery charger for an
optional second battery, a palm rest when
installed on the system, and has complete port
replication.
The Port Replicator can charge a battery
whether or not a ThinkPad is connected to it.
When the ThinkPad is attached to the Port
Replicator, it will attempt to recharge the battery
in ThinkPad first (if there is one) before
charging the battery in the Port Replicator.

Setup is entered by Ctrl + Alt + F11 from any
full-screen DOS prompt
Fn + F2 = Battery guage
