4. Insert the notched end 2 of the memory module into the socket 1 . Press the memory module rmly,
and pivot the memory module until it snaps into place. Make sure that the memory module is rmly
xed in the connector and does not move easily.

Replacing the modem
This section provides instructions on how to replace the modem.
1. Open the computer cover. See “Opening the cover” on page 68.
2. Locate the MDC connector. See “System board locations” on page 68. The modem card 1 will be
connected to the MDC connector.
