Reference Manual for the ADSL Modem Wireless Router DG834GSP
Wireless Configuration 4-11
v1.0, June 2007
You can copy and paste the MAC addresses from the modem router’s Attached Devices menu
into the MAC Address box of this menu. To do this, configure each wireless computer to
obtain a wireless link to the modem router. The computer should then appear in the Attached
Devices menu.
6. Make sure the Turn Access Control On check box is selected, then click Apply.
Now, only devices on this list will be allowed to wirelessly connect to the DG834GSP. This
prevents unauthorized access to your network.
How to Configure WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Security
To configure WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, follow these steps:
1. Log in at the default LAN address of http://10.1.1.1, with the default user name of admin and
default password of password, or using whatever LAN address and password you have set up.
2. Click Wireless Settings in the Setup section of the main menu of the DG834GSP.
3. Choose the WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, or WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK radio button. The WPA-
PSK+WPA2-PSK option is the most flexible, as it allows wireless clients to use either WPA-
PSK or WPA2-PSK protocol. The Security Encryption section will be displayed.
4. Enter the pre-shared key in the Passphrase field.
5. Click Apply to save your settings.
Note: If you are configuring the modem router from a wireless computer whose
MAC address is not in the Trusted Wireless Stations list, and you select
Trusted Wireless Stations only, you will lose your wireless connection when
you click Apply. You must then access the modem router from a wired
computer to make any further changes.
Note: The WPA-PSK key is printed on the bottom label. Not all wireless adapters support
WPA. Consult the product document for your wireless adapter for instructions on
configuring WPA settings.
