Flashing (red)
It is nearly time to
replace the lamp
unit.
Illuminated (red)
An abnormality has been detected in the lamp
circuit.
BDoes “REPLACE
LAMP” appear on
the screen after
the projector is
turned on?
BThis occurs when
the operation time
for the lamp unit is
nearing 1 800
hours (when
“LAMP POWER”
has been set to
“STANDARD” and
when “AI” has
been set to
“OFF”). Ask your
dealer or an
Authorised
Service Centre to
replace the lamp
unit. (page 60)
Possible
cause
BThe power may
have been turned
on straight away
after it was turned
off.
BWait for a while
until the lamp unit
cools down before
turning the power
back on again.
BThere may be an
abnormality in the
lamp circuit.
BThe lamp unit may
be blown.
BDisconnect the
mains lead by
following the
procedure on
page 28, and then
contact an
Authorised
Service Centre.
BAsk your dealer or
an Authorised
Service Centre to
replace the lamp
unit. (page 60)
LAMP indicator
NOTE:
BBe sure to disconnect the mains lead by following the procedure given
in “Turning off the power” on page 28 before carrying out any of the
procedures in the “Remedy” column.
BIf the TEMP indicator is illuminated and the power turns off after the
procedures in the “Remedy” column have been carried out, it means an
abnormality has occurred. Please contact an Authorised Service Centre
so that the necessary repairs can be made.
