Care Instructions for the
Battery
The capacity of the battery diminishes with time. You
can prolong the life of the battery if you observe the fol-
lowing points:
r Without a power supply, the device operates from
the built-in battery. When the battery does not
have sufcient capacity, the device switches to
stand-by mode. Connect the device to the power
supply.
r When the battery does not have sufcient capac-
ity, the battery symbol in the display and the bat-
tery status light on the side of the device turns red.
r When the device is running for a long period of
time, the surface becomes hot and a warning sym-
bol appears on the projection. The device
switches automatically to stand-by mode when it
gets too hot. After the device has cooled down,
yo
u can continue playback by pressing any key.
r Use the device at least once a week.
r Charge the battery regularly. Don’t store the
device with a completely discharged battery.
r If the device is not used for several weeks, dis-
charge the battery a little by using the device
before storing it.
r If the device only works using the USB connection
or with the power supply, the battery is defective.
r Keep the device and the battery away from
sources of heat.
Battery deep discharge
When the battery is in deep discharge or the device is
not used for a longer period, proceed as followed:
1 Connect the device to the power supply (see also
chapter Connecting power supply / Charging bat-
tery, page 9). The device behaves as follows:

Incorrect handling of the battery or using the
wrong type of battery can cause damage to
the device or cause injury.
