2.4.1 Master/slave configuration
Use the following settings to configure the drive as a master or a slave.
One drive only.
The drive is configured at the factory for single-drive
operation. No jumpers are required for single-drive operation. The spare
jumper on pins 6 and 8 does not affect drive operation.
Drive as slave.
Place a jumper on pins 5 and 6.
Drive as master with an ATA-compatible slave
. Place a jumper on
pins 7 and 8.
