CHARGING THE INTERNAL BATTERY3.

This Portable Power 750 comes with a sealed, non-spillable DieHard
maintenance-free lead-acid battery. This internal battery is specically
designed to deliver high power jump-starting as well as repetitive deep
cycling performance.
To charge the Portable Power 750 internal battery:
Check the internal battery’s charge level by pressing the switch marked 3.1
DISPLAY. The internal battery status LEDs will light.
NOTE: Internal battery status LEDs are most accurate when the Portable
Power 750 has been disconnected from all devices and charging sources
for 1 - 24 hours.
Using a proper extension cord, connect the cord to the charge plug and 3.2
then plug the cord into a properly wired and live 110Vac/60Hz wall outlet.
CAUTION: Operating the Portable Power 750 while the internal battery is
being charged may cause permanent damage to the unit.
While the Portable Power 750 is charging, the red “3.3 CHARGING” LED will
illuminate. When the internal battery is fully charged, the green “FULL”
LED will illuminate. Complete charging may take up to 72 hours. The Por-
table Power 750 is then ready to use.
Once the battery is fully charged, the built-in charger automatically switch-3.4
es to oat-mode monitoring, which trickle charges the battery and keeps it
fully charged without overcharging.
The internal battery may also be charged while you drive using the male-
to-male accessory cable (available separately, see “Accessories and Re-
placement Parts” section of this manual). Insert one end of the accessory
cable into the 12V DC power outlet and the other end into the vehicle’s
accessory outlet (lighter socket). Completely disconnect the accessory
cable when the engine is not running.

Use in a well-ventilated area. Keep hands, hair, clothing and jewelry clear
of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that may cause injury.
Turn ignition off before making cable connections.4.1
