Installing the SIM
TheSubscriberIdentityModule(SIM)inthePinPointXisa
smartcardthatsecurelystoresthekeyidentifyingacellular
subscriber.Generally,youwillonlyneedtoinstallaSIMonce
inthelifeofthemodemanditmaybepre‐installedbyyour
SierraWirelessRepresentative.
1. Before you start
IftheSIMwaspre‐installed,unlessyouneedtosetacustom
APN,activationofyourmodemiscomplete.
Cellular Account Required
• CellularAccountRequired‐Touseyourmodem,you
needtohaveaSIMwithanactiveaccountwithyour
cellularprovider.
Software Required
• ACEmanager‐GraphicalinterfaceforenteringmostAT
Commands.Youcan downloadACEmanagerfromthe

thisutilityisassumedlaterinthesedirections
