Troubleshooting
If you experience trouble with your unit, first check the following items. Should your
unit still not operate properly after you have made these checks, consult your Sony
dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.
Power
Symptom Cause and/or solution
• The size AA alkaline dry batteries are completely dead.
c Replace them with new size AA alkaline dry batteries.
• You are using batteries other than the recommended ones.
c Use the recommended batteries.
• The supplied AC power adaptor is not connected to a wall
outlet (mains) properly.
c Connect it properly.
The lamps
Indications Cause and/or solution
The batteries are dead.
c Replace the batteries with new ones.
c Use the supplied AC power adaptor.
• The exclusive modem card is not inserted.
c Insert the exclusive modem card properly and turn on
the power again.
•A malfunction has occurred in the exclusive modem card
or in the unit.
c Turn the power off then on again. If this is not possible,
contact your nearest Sony dealer.
You attempted to connect an unregistered Bluetooth device
when 16 Bluetooth devices were already registered in the
unit.
c Press CLEAR to clear registrations and register a new
Bluetooth device.
* Flashes for about 30 seconds.
The unit will not turn on.
