the NortonInternetSecurity icon.
1 On the Windows taskbar, click Start>All
Programs>NortonInternetSecurity>Norton

Activating your product
Ifyoudidnotactivateyourproductduringinstallation,
you receive an activation-needed alert regularly until
you activate the product.
Productactivationreducessoftwarepiracyand ensures
that youuse authentic Symantec software.Activation
providesyou withaspecified periodofsubscription to
your Norton product. You can also renew your
subscription to continue using Norton Internet
Security.

Youmustactivateyourproductwithinthetimeperiod
thatthealertspecifies,oryour productstopsworking.
You can activate your product directly from the
activation-needed alert or from the main window.
Activation should take only a few minutes.
To activate your product from the alert

In the alert, do one of the following:
1 If you purchased a subscription version of a
retail product or the product came installed on
your computer, select ActivateNow
(Recommended).
1 If you want to renew the subscription of your
product, select RenewNow.
You can also activate or renew the subscription of
your product from any non-admin user account.
