TheAIC3107digitalfilteringisavailabletoboththeADCandDAC.TheADChasoptionalhigh-pass(HP)
filteringandallowsthedigitaloutputfromtheADCthroughdigitaleffectsfilteringbeforeexitingthecodec
throughthePCMinterface.Likewise,thedigitalaudiodatacanberoutedthroughthedigitaleffects
filteringbeforepassingthroughtheoptionalde-emphasisfilterbeforetheDAC.Thedigitaleffectsfiltering
canonlybeconnectedtoeithertheADCorDAC,notbothatthesametime.
TheFigure14isdividedintoseveralareas.Theleftsideofthetab,isusedtoselectbetweentheDACor
ADCfiltersandtoassistintheselectionandcalculatingofthedesiredfiltercoefficients.Therightsideof
thetabshowsafrequencyresponseplotofthedigitaleffectsfilterselectedandthecoefficientsthatare
programmedintothedevice.Theplotsshowthemagnitudeandphaseresponseofeachbiquadsection,
plusthecombinedresponsesofthetwobiquadfilters.Notethattheplotshowsonlytheresponsesofthe
effectfilters,notthecombinedresponseofthosefilteralongwiththede-emphasisandADChigh-pass
filters.
