[NMI events]
NMI events are the following:
• power off
• WDT timeout
• Pressing of the INZ switch
An NMI signal is sent to the main unit when any one of these events occur. An NMI event is
latched inside the RAS board and held until it is processed by the RAS support software.
A forced reset (hardware reset) is issued and the system is reset unless an NMI processing
RAS support software is executed within 500ms after the occurrence of these NMI events.
(NMI process monitoring timer)
If a RAS support software is installed, monitor timer reset for the NMI is performed by the
software so that the NMI need not be processed by user application.
[MI events]
MI events are the following:
• Rise in temperature (main unit internal temperature)
• Interval timer
• Fan stop
An interrupt occurs when the temperature becomes abnormal, fan stops, or when the
interval timer expires.
