Universal Serial Bus The computer has four Universal Serial Bus (USB)
ports that comply with the USB 2.0 standard,
which enables data transfer speeds more than 40
times faster than USB 1.1 (which this computer
also supports).
i.LINK (IEEE1394) This port enables high-speed data transfer
directly from external devices such as digital
video cameras.
Infrared The serial infrared port is compatible with the
Infrared Data Association (IrDA 1.1) standards.
TV Out The 4-pin S-Video port is compatible with PAL or
NTSC TV standard, supporting Macrovision 7.02
copy protection.
Sound system The integrated Windows

system provides support for internal speakers as
well as jacks for an external microphone and
headphones.
Express Media
Player
Some computers in this series are equipped with
the Express Media Player. This feature lets you
use the computer's fixed optical disc drive as a
stand-alone audio CD player or video DVD player.
Headphone jack A standard 3.5 mm stereo jack is provided for the
connection of external headphones or speakers.
Microphone jack A standard 3.5 mm mini microphone jack enables
connection of monaural microphone input.
