GUARANTEE POLICY FOR NEC LCD PROJECTORS

GUARANTEE
NEC Europe Ltd. [NEC House, 1 Victoria Road, London, W3 6BL, England] ("NEC") warrants to the purchaser of this
Product (the "Customer") that this NEC LCD Projector (the "Product") will be free from defect in material and workman-
ship under normal operating conditions.
GUARANTEE PERIOD AND AREA COVERED
NEC Projectors are covered by a limited guarantee for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase (the
"Guarantee Period").
The guarantee period is related to products purchased within the European Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway
and Iceland. The customer can claim the service under this warranty from these countries.
For products purchased, or where used outside of these countries, please contact your local helpdesk for guarantee
conditions.
Customers claiming guarantee should provide an original serialized invoice as proof of purchase. If customers fail to
produce such evidence, NEC will allow three (3) additional months from the date of purchase from NEC to the direct
(first) channel in addition to the standard guarantee period.
If the Product should become defective during the Guarantee Period, NEC will make available to any Customer a choice
of three (3) on-site services; DOA (Dead on arrival), Exchange Service (ES), or Repair & Return (RR) whichever is
appropriate.
GUARANTEE SERVICES
NEC will make available the following types of guarantee service to the Customer:
All services are subject to a valid defect being identified within the relevant product. If the damage or defect is not
covered by this Guarantee or subject to statutory rights, the Customer will be charged for the cost of inspection or repair
of the good, including all time and parts spent.
1. DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA)
NEC or its agents will provide a new replacement unit for any new product failing for a functional defect only during the
first 14 days from date of purchase of the initial customer contracted to NEC. Outside of these conditions one of the

NEC or its agents will collect the Projector from the Customer's site and replace it with another Re-manufactured
Projector of a similar or, wherever possible, same model and condition, normally within the next business day.
NEC will pay for parts, labour and any shipping both ways to and from the Customer's site.
3. REPAIR AND RETURN ("RR") SERVICE
NEC or its agents will collect the Projector from the Customer's site, remedy any problems and return it to the Customer
normally within 5 business days.
