LAN Connection for the Network Management Station
If thenetwork is largeor extensivenetwork statistics areneeded, an Ethernetport (LAN port)should
be used. Larger networks produce a greater flow of statistics data between the node and the Cisco
WAN Manager workstation, so a higher speed Ethernet port is suitable. Figure 3-17 illustrates this
connection. Accessinga nodeover an Internetconnection requiresthe operator touse cnflanto enter
the Internet Protocol (IP) address, IP subnet mask, TCP service port, and gateway IP address.
