Make sure the saw isproperlysecured to a work
surfaceto avoid tippingfrom the weightof a large
panel.
_k WARNING: Make sure the blade guard is
lowered over blade and is working properly to
prevent possibleinjury.
• Placea supportthe same heightas the top of the
saw table behindthe saw for the cut work.Add
supportsto the sides as needed.
• Dependingon the shape ofthe panel, usethe rip
fence or miter gage. Ifthe panel is too largeto use
eitherthe ripfence or the mitergage, it is too large
for thissaw.
_l, WARNING: Never makp freehand cuts (cuts
withoutthe miter gage or ripfence), which can
resultin seriousinjury.
MAKING A NON-THROUGH CUT

This isthe only type of cut made withoutthe blade
guard.
,_, WARNING: Unplugthe saw while removingor
replacingthe blade guardto prevent accidental
startingand injury.
• Liftthe bladeguard out ofthe way.
• Adjustthe blade angle and heightby releasingthe
bevel lockhandle and turningthe heightand bevel
handwheels. Resetthe bevel lockhandle.
• Removethe rivingknife and guard assemblyas
shown.Take outthe throatplate by removingthe
screwwitha phillipsscrewdriver.Be sure to rein-
stall itbefore movingtothe next step.
• Place a supportthe same heightas thetop ofthe
saw table behindthe saw for the cut work. Add
supportsto the sidesas needed.
