Limiter/Protect LED Warning Indicators
The output channel (channels 1 and 2) Limiter/Protect LED lights red per indicated output
channel as shown in the following diagnostic information.
LED State Problem Description Problem Solution
Blinks Audio clipping is occurring at the
rate of one blink per clip.
Reduce the power output to
avoid overdriving the amplifier
and causing clipping.
Lights steady The amplifier may be overheating. Determine the reason for the
overheated state and allow the
amplier to cool. The LED will not
be lit after the amplifier recovers
from the overheated state.
Output channel leads are shorted Check speakers and speaker
wiring for shorts.
Over Temp Indicator LED
This indicator does not represent a hard failure of the unit. It is meant as a warning that
the amplifier has exceeded the recommended operating temperature for optional product
lifetime.

Lights steady Amplifier has exceeded the
recommended operating
temperature. The LED turns off
after the amplifier cools down
sufficiently.
Verify that the placement of the
amplifier allows for adequate
ventilation and airflow.
Avoid placing equipment on top
of the amplifier.
Verify that the operating
temperature is within the
specified range.
