System Recovery
Using Recovery CDs
Make your own recovery CDs before you need
them; see “Using HP Recovery CD Creator“ on
page 81. If you do not have recovery CDs when
you need them, you must contact HP Support
for help.
The recovery CDs can be used only with the
specified PC model. The CDs are licensed for
use only with your HP Pavilion home PC. The
recovery CDs can install the operating system
and software on your computer hard disk drive if
the software becomes corrupted or is accidentally
erased.
Using HP Recovery CD Creator
Make recovery CDs for your PC by using
HP Recovery CD Creator before you experience
any problem.
The recovery CD set is a complete image of the
original HP Pavilion home PC hard disk drive
contents and is matched to your PC model
number. The CD set contains the operating
system, drivers, and application software that
were originally installed on the computer at the
factory.
