Initial settings (on the SET UP menu)
DVD Settings
The items in this group are only applicable when playing back
a DVD.
1 TV Type
Select the appropriate screen type according to your TV
monitor; conventional size screen (Normal 4:3) or wide-screen
(Wide 16:9).
1 When the SET UP group “DVD Settings” is selected,
press or to select “1 TV Type” and then press
SELECT.
2 Press or to select the preferred type (1 or 2)
and then press SELECT.
1 Normal 4:3 Select this type when a conventional
TV monitor is connected.
* When this type is selected, the
setting of the next item “2 Display
Mode” also becomes important.

2 Wide 16:9 Select this type when a wide-screen
TV monitor is connected.
* A video source of wide-screen type
is played in full size. (The TV must
also be set to the full size display
mode.)
Factory default setting: Normal 4:3
