With this interface the DSm415 can be connected to wireless network environment The
optional interface is installed and enables users to communicate to PCs that have wireless
interface cards.
Note: Ethernet (100Base-TX/10Base-T) and Wireless LAN cannot be used at the same
time. It must be manually selected to use either of them.

(*2) WEP: Wired Equivalent Privacy
WEP is an encryption method that protects wireless data communication. Both devices
that send and receive data through wireless communication need to have the same WEP
Key when communicating to the other device.
Type of connections
(1) Ad hoc mode communicates between each wireless client
NOTE: Adhoc mode connection does NOT support the communication with Novell
NetWare Server because NetWare does not support wireless LAN interface.
NOTE: 2 types of Ad hoc mode are selectable, one is Ad hoc mode and the other is
802.11b ad hoc mode. The former mode uses only channel setting and the latter uses
channel setting and SSID (SSID stands for Service Set ID, and only the devices, which
has same SSID can communicate each other through wireless network.
