Resetting the Handheld
If the Handheld display locks up or stops working, perform the reset
procedure described below.
A blank screen may be caused by a fully discharged battery.
To reset the Handheld
1 Insert a memory card (with 3M Handheld software
on it) into the Handheld.
2 Press and hold the reset button for approximately
one second.
3 The Handheld software loads.
4 The Home screen appears.
If pressing the reset button
did not work…
1 Insert a memory card (with 3M Handheld software
on it) into the Handheld.
2 Remove the battery.
3 Insert a fully charged battery.
4 Follow the Using the 3M™ Handheld RFID
Reader for the first time
procedure on page 6.
