4.7 POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP
Choose “POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP” option on the main menu, a display will be shown on screen
as below :
Power Management Setup Screen
The "Power Management Setup" allows the user to configure the system to the most effectively save en-
ergy while operating in a manner consistent with your own style of computer use.
POWER MANAGEMENT:
This item allows you to select the Power Management mode.
MODEM USE IRQ:
This item enable you to name the interrupt request (IRQ) line assigned to the modem (if any) on your sys-
tem. Activity of the selected IRQ always awakens the system.
PM EVENTS:
PM events are I/O events whose occurrence can prevent the system from entering a power saving mode or
can awaken the system from such a mode. In effect, the system remains alert for anything, which occurs to
a device which is configured as Enabled, even when the system is in a power down mode. (1) Primary IDE
