flag ($) occurs in the AB command string, the user must issue a GO command to perform the
switching operations. If an execute flag (#) occurs in the AB command string, the CM executes
the AB command string immediately when it is received.
The The format for the AB command is:
AB , <namslot> , <numslot> , <numskip>, <action> ,<flag>
Table 7-8 describes the syntax for the command string parameters and defines the operations
performed when the AB command executes.
Caution: When using Autofallback, the operator’s switching commands may be negated. That
is, modules in alarm state switch to the side specified by the jumper (A or B). This switching
operation is performed regardless of the operator’s commands
.

namslot> — name of starting slot. Range: 0-15.

action> — indicates the action the switch is to perform.
Range: 0-2.
Where: 0 — switch to “A”
1 — switch to “B”
2 — toggle switch to opposite position.

<flag> - command flag. No default.
Where: # = Execute

Switch only slot 4 module to the “B” side. Execute command
immediately.
Return command (echo) character string to originating
terminal.
Enter GO command to execute switch request (preceding
character string). Switch all modules to the “A” side.
Switch 8 slots (modules) to the “B” side, starting with
module 0, skipping every other slot. Execute command
immediately. Modules 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and l6 switch
to the “B” side.
Switch only module 5 to the “A” side. Execute command
immediately.
