Accessing the Internet
Your PowerBook has been designed so that you can quickly connect to the Internet using the
internal modem. Even if you don’t have an Internet access account already, your PowerBook
will help you get on the Internet in just a few minutes.
Internet helpers provided with your PowerBook
Internet Setup Assistant
If you did not connect to the Internet the first time you started up your computer,
you can connect at any time using the Internet Setup Assistant. Open the Apple (K)
menu, choose Internet Access, and then choose Internet Setup Assistant from the
submenu.
Browse the Internet
If you know the World Wide Web address of the Internet site that you want to use,
double-click the Browse the Internet icon on your computer desktop.
Sherlock
If you want to look for something on the Internet, open the Apple (K) menu and
choose Sherlock. Then click the Search Internet tab.
Register With Apple
In most countries, you can register your computer and other Apple products on the
World Wide Web. Double-click the Register With Apple icon on your computer’s
desktop.
