About the video display screen
If an AVI file (a file containing motion video data) or a BMP file (a file containing
still image data) with the same name as the MIDI file is placed in the same folder as
the MIDI file, the motion video or still image will be automatically loaded and dis-
played in the screen when the MIDI file is played back.
If there is no AVI file or BMP file with the same name as the MIDI file, the
DEFAULT.AVI or DEFAULT.BMP file found in the same folder as CSMIXER.EXT
will be displayed. Sample files are included, but you may provide your own favorite
AVI file or BMP file, and click the display screen. A popup menu will appear, allow-
ing you to specify the AVI or BMP file.
NOTE: The maximum size of the BMP file is 320 x 240 dots.
About the voice list file
The list of voices (sounds) which is displayed by the voice select button is deter-
mined by the voice list file. The voice list will switch between XG format or GM
depending on the MIDI file.
The voice list file is specified by the CSMIXER.INI file which is created in the
Windows folder. By default, it contains the following settings.
[XG VOICE]
PATCH=mu50.txt
[GM VOICE]
PATCH=gm.txt
The XG format uses the MU50 voice list. If you are using an MU80, modify the file
to change the line "mu50.txt" to "mu80.txt". This will cause the MU80 voice list to
be displayed.
