2.6.1 CPU Conguration
The items in this menu show the CPU-related information that the BIOS automatically
detects.
The items shown in submenu may be different due to the CPU you installed.
AMD PowerNow function [Enabled]
Enables or disables the AMD PowerNow function. Conguration options: [Enabled] [Disabled]
NX Mode [Enabled]
Enables or disables the No-execute page protection function. Conguration options:
[Enabled] [Disabled]
SVM Mode [Enabled]
Enables or disables CPU virtualization. Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
C6 Mode [Enabled]
Enables or disables C6 mode. Conguration options: [Enabled] [Disabled]
CPB Mode [Auto]
Enables or disables CPB mode. Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled]
Core Leveling Mode [Automatic mode]
Allows you to change the number of working Compute Unit on the system. Conguration
options: [Automatic mode] [Three cores per processor] [Two cores per processor] [One core
per processor]
2.6.2 SATA Conguration
While entering Setup, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of SATA devices. The
SATA Port items show Not Present if no SATA device is installed to the corresponding SATA
port.
OnChip SATA Channel [Enabled]
Enables or disables onboard channel SATA port. Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
OnChip SATA Type [AHCI]
Allows you to set the SATA conguration.
[IDE] Set to [IDE] when you want to use the Serial ATA hard disk drives as
Parallel ATA physical storage devices.
[AHCI] Set to [AHCI] when you want the SATA hard disk drives to use the AHCI
(Advanced Host Controller Interface). The AHCI allows the onboard storage
driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features that increases storage
performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to internally
optimize the order of commands.
AHCI mode is not supported under Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 operating systems.
