8. Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)
This connector is for a chassis-mounted front panel audio I/O module
that supports either HD Audio or legacy AC ʻ97 audio standard.
Connect one end of the front panel audio I/O module cable to this
connector.
9. Digital Audio connector (4-1 pin SPDIF_OUT)
This connector is for the S/PDIF audio module to allow digital sound
output. Connect one end of the S/PDIF audio cable to this connector
and the other end to the S/PDIF module.
The S/PDIF module is purchased separately.

audio capability.
• If you want to connect a high-definition front panel audio module to
this connector, make sure that the Azalia Controller item in the BIOS
is set to [Enabled]. See page 2-25 for details.
