1 What combination of products are required to build a working
CrossFire
system?
Three components are required:
a CrossFire
Edition graphics card that works as the Master
graphics card.
a CrossFire
Ready graphics card from the same brand-family
that works as the Slave graphics card.
a CrossFire
Ready motherboard (with two PCIe
X16 slots).

2 What graphics cards work with CrossFire
?
A CrossFire
graphics card works with all members of the same
brand-family. For example: A Radeon
®
X1800 CrossFire
Edition
will work with a Radeon
®
X1800 CrossFire
Ready graphics card.
3 What motherboards support CrossFire
?
The optimal configuration for a CrossFire
system is one based on a
Radeon
®
Xpress 200 CrossFire
Edition motherboard. Motherboards
from other manufactures will be certified as CrossFire
Ready when
they become available.
4 Are there specific BIOS motherboard settings for CrossFire
?
On some motherboards, the BIOS may be set by default to support
only a single PCI Express
®
X16 slot. Ensure that both PCIe
X16
slots are enabled in the BIOS.
