Chapter 3: Installation and Initial Setup
To configure the Modbus Hardened Serial Server, open the Modbus Hardened Serial Server Manager software and set up
the Modbus Hardened Serial Server’s parameters as required.
1. Under Connection, select “Serial Port.”

2. If you do not know which COM port your Modbus Hardened Serial Server is connected to, select “Search all serial ports for the
device” under Serial Port Options. If you do know, you may specify the COM port by selecting “The device is connected to this
serial port” under Serial Port Options and using the pull-down menu to choose the COM port.
