Symptom Problem Solution
No sound. Volume is muted. 1. On the Windows desktop, click Start, and then
click Control Panel.
2. Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices,
and then click Sounds and Audio Devices.
3. Click the Mute check box to remove the check
mark from the box.
Speakers are turned off. If your speakers have a power button, check whether it
is turned on (select models only).
Speaker cables are not
properly connected.
Turn off your computer using the normal “Turn Off
Computer” procedure, and reconnect the speakers.
Computer is in
standby mode.
Press the Power button to resume from standby mode.
