The credit card reader reads all three stripes on a standard credit card or drivers license. The credit
card is read by sliding the credit card, stripe side toward the display through the credit card reader
forward or backward. There is a serial credit card reader and a USB credit card reader.
The Hub provides 4 internal USB ports to be used by the credit card reader, the fingerprint reader,
the touchscreen, and the customer display. The hub also supplies two USB ports to the outside of the
back of the 1229L for external use.The hub is only used by the USB version of the 1229L. The
1229L is powered by 12 VDC from a universal type power supply brick.
