4-4 Troubleshooting
Viewing the PoE Port Status
Ifthe4G428549or4G420572isinstalled inanN5chassisorifthe4G428549isreceiving
48VdcfromanexternalNPOEPowerSystem,youcanviewthepowerstatusindications
ontheRXandTXLEDs.However,onlyonegroupofportsmaybeviewed
atatime.To
viewthePoEportstatus,refertoFigure 41orFigure 42andproceedasfollows:
1. PresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonformorethanonesecond.TheDFEmodulewill
enterthePoEportstatusmode.
2. Now,everytimeyoupresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonforless
thanasecond,the
GROUPLEDlightsupinsequence,indicatingwhichGroupisselected.ThePoE
POWERSTATUSforthatgroupofsegmentsisthenindicatedbytheRXandTXLEDs
foreachsegment.Ifthereispowerattheport,theRXLEDisgreenandtheTX
LEDis
off.Otherwise,refertoTable 41fortroubleshootinginformation.
3. PresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonagainformorethanonesecond.Thisreturnsthe
DFEmoduletothedefaultstatusmodetomonitorRX(receive)andTX(transmit)
activity.
Table 41describestheLEDindicationsandprovidesrecommendedactionsas
appropriate.
Note: The terms flashing, blinking, solid, alternately are used in Table 4-1 to indicate
the following:
Flashing indicates LED is flashing randomly.
Blinking indicates LED is flashing at a steady rate (approximately 50% on, 50% off).
Solid indicates a steady LED light. No pulsing.
Alternately indicates LED is flashing in a steady rate other than 50% on, 50% off.
