Daily Maintenance
This section explains how to perform paper jam handling, daily
maintenance, and cleaning.

Clean the automatic document feeder based on the standard cleaning
procedure described in Section 4.3.2, "Cleaning the Automatic
Document Feeder."
4.1 Handling a Paper Jam
Be aware of high – temperature in the glass
surface of Automatic Document Feeder
(ADF). It could result in a burn.
If a document jams while being read during automatic document feeding,
remove it through the following procedure:
1) Remove the document from the document support.
2) Open the automatic document feeder by pulling it toward you while
raising the cover opening lever.
