Using the Firmware Updater program
The Firmware Updater program enables you to maintain your system rmware up-to-date and helps you
avoid unnecessary outages.
To update your system rmware using the Firmware Updater program, do the following:

1. Go to the Lenovo Support Web site at:
http://support.lenovo.com
2. Click Download Drivers & Software and follow the instructions on the Web page to locate the
Firmware Updater program.
3. Download the ISO image for the Firmware Updater program and the installation instructions in a TXT le.
4. Use any CD or DVD burning software to create a bootable disc with the ISO image.
5. Print the TXT le that contains the installation instructions and follow the instructions to use the Firmware
Updater program to update your system rmware.
Notes:
1. Before distributing the rmware updates to a server, ensure that your server can restart successfully
without encountering hardware problems.
2. If you have updated the BIOS rmware, all the BIOS settings become the default settings of the updated
BIOS version. You need to check and recongure the BIOS settings for your specic needs.
