2. Rotate the adapter card retainer 1 to the open position to remove a failing
adapter card or to add an adapter card. See Figure 31.
3. Remove the adapter card 2.
4. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.
5. Install the new adapter card 2in the adapter card connector.
6. Ensure the adapter is fully seated into the adapter connector.
7. Close the adapter card retainer.
8. Go to Chapter 4, “Completing the parts replacement,” on page 39.
