Chapter 2. Operating The MXU2
This section describes how a user operates MXU2 functions to access computers.
Logging In
You must first login to access the computers connected to the MXU2.
When the system is first powered on, the Log-in Menu is displayed on the monitor of each user
console. (Figure 3).
Device ID: Name of this MXU2 unit.
User Port: Indicates the physical MXU2 user port to which this user console is currently
connected.

1. Enter your user name assigned by your administrator. If user names have not been
assigned, there are 5 available defaults usera, userb, userc, and userd for users, and
admin for the administrator (See Chapter 3. Administrator Functions). User names are not
case sensitive.
2. Press <Enter>. If a password is necessary, you will be prompted to enter it, and press
<Enter> again. Passwords are case sensitive. (See Changing Password on page 8.)
3. The Selection Menu will be displayed (Figure 4 or Figure 5)
4. To go to other menus, use the function keys. (See On-Screen User Interface Functions on
page 8.)
