THough the shape of utility program running on HPC is different from that on PPC, the
operation of both is the same. The way of using utility program on HPC is explained here.

StatusTab represents the current connection status of MagicLAN card.
- ESSID
: represents the name of wireless network group.

Channe
l : one of channel values that is used to connect wireless client to AP or
another client. If network mode is infrastructure or 802.11 ad-hoc, wireless client
searched appropriate channel automatically. However, if network mode is ad-hoc, the
channel value of wireless client should be set to be the same as that of another wireless
client to connect.

MAC Address
: represents a unique MAC address of MagicLAN card.

Network Mode
: infrastructure to connect other wireless clients through AP,
802.11Ad-hoc/Ad-hoc to connect other wireless clients as a peer-to-peer method. More
specific explanation is shown in 'Setting' tab.

Link Quality
: shows the status of link connected to network

You can change the configuration of MagicLAN card. After changing the values, to
make sure that the values are applied, click 'OK' button and then PDA needs to power
off and on again or to extract the card and reinsert it.
