Removing and Replacing the Battery
Follow these steps to remove and replace the battery. You can remove and
replace the battery without disconnecting the AC power source.
1. Gently press the battery compartment cover on the front of the modem to
open the cover and gain access to the battery compartment.
2. Move the battery lock upward and to the right to the Unlocked position.
3. Grasp the plastic strip on the front of the battery and gently slide the battery
forward to remove it from the battery compartment.
4. Insert a new battery into the battery compartment and close the battery
compartment cover.
Important: It may take as long as 10 hours for the battery to charge fully.
Note: Dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations and
instructions from your service provider.
5. Slide the battery lock downward and to the left to the Locked position.
6. Gently raise the battery compartment door until it clicks and closes securely.
