These four new models are strategic to Sony’s overall direction to re-gain presence in
the Pro AV Dealer / AV Distribution Channel. The VPL-FE40 model is specifically
introduced to meet the growing demand for SXGA / SXGA+ resolution in the
marketplace. Even through SXGA / SGXA+ resolution as been a niche market
category for many years, the graph below clearly shows a growth in this category for
the next four years; the reason for this sales increase, corporate customers and
educational institutions looking to upgrade their current boardroom / auditorium
projectors to the next generation of resolution.
The Sony VPL-FE40 and VPL-FE40L (Lens-less version), SXGA+ 4000Lm projectors
are introduced to meet this growing demand.
