Using the Floppy Disk Drive
You can connect the floppy disk drive to the FDD connector on your
computer:
To connect the floppy disk drive

Turn off the computer.

Open the cover of the Floppy disk drive connector.

Plug the floppy disk drive cable into the FDD connector. The
VAIO logo on the disk drive should be facing up.
To insert a diskette

Hold the diskette with the label side facing up.

Gently push the diskette into the drive until it clicks into place.
